Sharon Finnan White’s First Nations Academy of Excellence: Empowering Emerging Deadly Diamonds

Sharon Finnan-White, Australian Netball Diamond 105, now spends her days driving change by inspiring the generation of Indigenous elite netballers.

There have only been three First Nations women to pull on the Diamonds dress in Australian netball history. One of those women, Sharon-Finnan White—Diamond 105, wants to change that.

In 2023 Sharon founded her First Nations Academy of Excellence, a unique program designed to support young Indigenous netballers, and in time other sports people, from regional and remote communities across Australia. This program is the only program of its type across Australia.

At Siren, we support Sharon’s ongoing mission to support more Indigenous athletes through providing culturally safe environments and mentorship to reach the elite level.

We’re currently selling limited edition sticker packs to help fundraise for Sharon Finnan-White’s First Nations Academy of Excellence. All proceeds from these stickers go directly to Sharon’s academy.

You can buy a sticker pack here for just $10.00 including postage in Australia and grab a sticker set with a badge for just $15.00.

For international postage or bulk purchases email contact@sirensport.com.au and we’ll look after you!

The sticker designs were inspired by artwork from Sharon’s youth netballers and they put pen to paper to describe what the program, and netball means to them. The messages below highlight just how much Sharon gives to these young athletes and how special her work is. Graphic designer, the incredibly talented Kel Rowe, took these ideas to create the sticker set.

We hope these powerful messages below inspire you to purchase some stickers if you’re position to.

You can also make an additional donation to Sharon’s gofundme for the program here.
